FERGUS FALL (KBRF) - A rural Perham man living east of Richville has been charged in Otter Tail County District Court in connection with a downtown Fergus Falls shooting in November last year. Twenty-eight-year-old Cody Allen Willson is charged with aiding an offender to avoid arrest.
Willson is accused of assisting in helping the alleged shooter into a rural Dalton home after the alleged shooter shot himself in the knee and foot. He also is accused of helping remove a bloody seat from the vehicle the suspect was riding in after the shooting. And he is suspected of being the person who got rid of the gun used in the shooting by throwing it in a slough near Clitherall Lake.
Willson made his first appearance in court Monday. He was released on his own recognizance and will next appear in court February 12th.
