FERGUS FALLS, MN--Two people have been arrested in the death of a six year old boy in Fergus Falls. Fergus Falls Police say 40 year old Bobbie Bishop and 44 year old Walter Wynhoff, both of Fergus Falls, are awaiting charges and are being held in the Otter Tail County Jail. Police say there are clear signs that the boy was the victim of abuse and neglect. Another sibling was also living with Bishop and Wynhoff. That sibling has been taken into protective custody. Both children had moved to Otter Tail County in 2017 and eventually to Fergus Falls in January of 2018. They were not currently enrolled in school. The legal guardians of the children live in Montana. Authorities described Bishop as a family friend. The boy's body was sent to the medical examiner in St. Paul. He had been taken to the Lake Region Hospital Monday after he was found unresponsive at the home of Bishop and Wynhoff. The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is helping with the investigation.
