DETROIT LAKES, MN--The Becker County Sheriff's Office is recognized for it's outstanding efforts in the State's Toward Zero Deaths campaign. A representative from the State Office of Traffic Safety Becky Putzke recognized Becker County for it's efforts in 2016 to make roads safer resulting in fewer deaths. Putzke said it's not about arrest quota's but about continued education of the public and overall dedication to the cause and Becker County Sheriff Todd Glander,and TDZ program coordinators for the Becker County Sheriff's Office, Sgt. Dan May and Sgt. Ty Warren, and Highway Engineer Jim Olson were recognized for their efforts to reduce fatalities on area roads.
