Bemijdi Police Ask For Public's Help Locating a Possible Train vs Pedestrian Victim

BEMIDJI, MN--Bemidji police are asking the public for help in locating a man who apparently was hit by a train on Thursday.
Authorities received numerous reports about a pedestrian-train collision on the east side of Washington Avenue shortly before five p-m. The train engineer stated he also heard the impact and saw objects fly into the air. Other witnesses said after the strike the male stood up, collected some belongings, and walked away.
Officers searched the area on foot with thermal imaging but could not locate the injured individual. Residents are asked to check their properties…garages….and vehicles. Local hospitals have been notified of the incident.
