WILLMAR, MN (KWLM) - A chicken was nursed back to health after spending five days in the trunk of a Kandiyohi County Deputy's patrol car.
The chicken is believed to have gotten into the trunk of the squad when the deputy assisted a person with unlocking a car at a home with chickens. The chicken was in the squad trunk for five days and was found alive when the deputy was getting equipment.
The chicken was given water and returned to its owner.
The department's Facebook page contained the quote, "This was one tough chicken and one very surprised deputy with a big mess in the trunk of the squad."
