The team portion of the 2018 Minnesota State Gymnastics Tournament is in the books, and the Lakers have defended their State championship once again.

To open the morning, the now four-time-defending State Champion Detroit Lakes Lakers scored a 37.95 on vault. Cora Okeson led the team with a 9.525. With Lexi Yliniemi (9.5), Justine Lawrence (9.5), Peyton Jernberg (9.425), and Jackson Hegg (9.375), the Lakers' 37.95 was the highest mark of the meet.

In bars, the Lakers scored a 37.45 with Cora Okeson (9.675), Justin Lawrence (9.5), Jackson Hegg (9.325), Emma Disse (8.925) and Ellie Hultin (8.25) competing.

Detroit Lakes scored a 37.425 on beam. Emma Disse led the team with a 9.55, with Lawrence (9.5), Jernberg (9.2), Okeson (9.175). Hegg (8.9) all pulling in great scores as well.

DL dominated the Floor with 38.025. Senior Emma Disse wowed the judges with a 9.675. Jackson Hegg (9.325), Okeson (9.5), Yliniemi (9.525), and Alexix Ostlie (8.9) rounded out the rest of the group.
