Detroit Lakes says YES on Referendums

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) - Detroit Lakes citizens voted YES on two referendums Tuesday, Nov. 6.
Voters passed the sales tax referendum to fund a new Police station in Detroit Lakes. The approval will now make way for the adoption of a 1/2 cent sales tax to finance the building of a new Police Department facility for $6.7 million.
The $49 million Detroit Lakes School referendum passed as well - 53 percent to 47 percent.
