MINNEAPOLIS (KDLM) - Detroit Lakes native, Adam Thielen made NFL history Sunday against the Eagles becoming the first NFL player to eclipse 100 yards receiving in each of the first five games of a season.

Thielen, the former Detroit Lakes Laker and undrafted receiver from Minnesota State, set the record on a 68-yard third-quarter reception from Kirk Cousins on Sunday.

In a press release from the Minnesota Vikings, Thielen downplayed the accomplishment saying, “Not really thinking about it...just worried about our record and onto the next game now.

Thielen now has the most receiving yards (589) in Vikings history through the opening five games of a season, surpassing Hall of Famer Randy Moss’ 515 yards in 2003.
