FERGUS FALLS MAN FACES CHARGES FOR INJURY CRASH

KBRF- A Fergus Falls man has been summoned to appear in Becker County District Court on charges of criminal vehicular operation resulting in injury from an accident in July at a roundabout near Detroit Lakes. Charges were filed this week against 54 year old Jon Kragness of Fergus Falls as a result of the accident on July 14th at the roundabout on Highway 59 and Becker County Road 22. The State Patrol was called to the scene at 11:51pm and found a disabled minivan in a ditch. The Trooper found Kragness and a passenger in the van. A strong odor of alcohol was coming from Kragness who was given an initial breath test and blew a .12 alcohol concentration. Both Kragness and his female passenger were transported to the hospital in Detroit Lakes where Kragness agreed to have his blood drawn and tested for alcohol content. The results indicated Kragness had a blood alcohol content of .137 at 2:20am. He faces two gross misdemeanor counts of Criminal Vehicular Operation. He is first appearance is scheduled for October 22nd.
