FERGUS FALLS (KDLM) - A woman, identified as Amber Rose Simonson, was abducted at gunpoint from her rural Fergus Falls home Sunday afternoon and was found safe four hours later. A suspect is under arrest.

39-year old Anthony Randklev of Pelican Rapids is registered sex offender and is being held in the Otter Tail County Jail awaiting formal charges.

Reports say a masked man armed with a gun entered Simonson's home through an unlocked basement door. He told her four children, all under the age of 10, to stay where they were and then forced Simonson to leave in his pickup. As soon as he left, the oldest child called his dad, who then called 9-1-1.

The children were able to provide authorities with information that helped eventually spot Randklev in his pickup on Highway 59 in northern Otter Tail County. A brief pursuit ended in a field near Erhard where Randklev was taken into custody.

The family said a man, who they said is Randklev, showed up at the Simonson home Saturday night to ask for gas. Criminal records show he was sentenced in 2008 for kidnapping and assault and was released from prison last year.
