FRAZEE, MN—Multiple fire crews respond to a house fire Sunday afternoon on E. Wymer Road in Frazee. Vergas Fire Department was the primary department. Vergas Fire Chief Jeff Zitzow says the call came in just after 4:00 pm by parties who happen to stop by to show off a remodeling project they’d been working on and found smoke coming from an upstairs apartment. Zitzow says Frazee Fire Department was first on the scene and flames were visible. The fire was put out. The chief says the fire left about a 10-foot hole between the second and first floor, along with heavy smoke damage. The owners were not home at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported. Crews were on the scene for over two hours. The chief says there was nothing suspicious about the fire. The State Fire Marshall was on the scene. Along with Vergas and Frazee Fire Departments, Perham and Detroit Lakes Fire Departments assisted at the scene.
