DETROIT LAKES, MN--Work on the Hwy 10/Hwy 59 intersection will pick up Monday. Crews will start by removing the existing signal system (poles and arms) at the Hwy 10/Hwy 59 intersection. While they are working, the intersection will operate as a four-way stop for several hours. Drivers should be prepared for significant delays and consider alternate routes. Starting Tuesday, all Hwy 10 traffic will shift to the north side of the highway (the existing westbound lanes) and all Hwy 59 traffic will shift to the east side of the road with narrowed lanes.
In addition, the access between Hwy 10 and the frontage road near the MnDOT building will close. All traffic onto and off of the frontage road will use the new signal between Hwy 59 and Airport Road.
