DETROIT LAKES, MN—The second annual Military Appreciation night will be held Friday night at the Detroit Lakes Girls Basketball Game. Captains Brianna Price and Ellie Lunde invite any military personnel, active and veterans, to Friday’s home game and they will recognize the military between the JV and Varsity games at the Detroit Lakes High School Gym around 6:45 pm. Price says last year's turnout was fantastic and this year they hope it's larger. She says there will be homemade cookies and lemonade for military personnel and their families to enjoy along with more drawings for gift card prizes. Captain Ellie Lunde says admission is free Friday night for military personnel and their families and the team would really like to see a great turnout to recognize the military for what they do. The Lakers Girls Basketball Teams face the Little Falls Flyers tomorrow night. JV begins at 5:30 pm and Varsity at 7:00 pm.
