BAGLEY, MINN. (KFGO) - There were only minor injuries in the crash of a school bus on U.S. Highway 2 near Bagley in northwestern Minnesota Monday.
Lindsey Wangberg, spokesperson for Sanford-Bagley Medical Center, said the bus was enroute from the Grand Rapids, Minnesota, School district to the Great Plains Youth Institute in Crookston when it rolled shortly before 8:30.
There were 22 students on the bus, a driver and a chaperone. Eight of the students and the chaperone were taken to Sanford in Bagley where they were treated for minor injuries. Four other students were taken in to be checked out.
Wangberg says students not injured were taken to the elementary school in Bagley. A bus was sent to pick up the students and return them to Grand Rapids.
A witness told KFGO News the crash scene was about 5 miles west of Bagley and that the bus was on its side in the westbound lane of Highway 2.
