More Snow and Less Warmth in March

DETROIT LAKES, MN--Lots of snow and not as warm as last year for March of 2018. Local weather statistics for the month of March have been compiled by Leighton Broadcasting's Charile Newland. The average high temperature for the month was 35 degrees. The warmest March temperature was 46 degrees on March 18th. The coolest daytime high was 21 degrees on March 8th. The average overnight low for March was 15 degrees. The coldest overnight low was -1 degree on March 8th. The warmest overnight low was 32 degrees on March 5th and the 19th. There were nine days of precipitation. The most snow was 5 inches which fell on March 6th and the 30th. We received 18.6 inches of snow in March for a total this winter of 62.55 inches between October and March. That held 7.4 inches of moisture.
