(Minnesota) -- On January 1st, several new national and state laws will begin to take effect in Minnesota.
A new federal ruling will require hospitals to post prices for medical procedures online. Minimum wage will increase in the state with large employers giving 21-cents more and small employers giving a 17-cent hike.
Another new law allows credit reporting agencies to freeze credit reports of those under the age of 16 as a way to protect children against identity theft.
