No Minus Signs In April Temperatures

DETROIT LAKES, MN--Local weather statistics show we nearly made it through the month of April without a flake of snow. April's weather statistics have been compiled by Leighton Broadcasting's Marty Hembre. The snow came at the end of the month, one inch on the 27th. There were 10 days of precipitation: one day with snow, one day with a snow and rain mix and eight days when rain fell. The most rain was just over a half inch (.59) on April 18th. The total snow for 2017 is 18.5-inches. The total precipitation or melt for that period is 4.26 inches. The total snow for the winter (November through April) is 47.25 inches, which was 9.55 inches of precipitation. The average daytime high temperature was 55 degrees. The warmest high was 70-degrees felt on April 14th. The coolest daytime high was 32 degrees on April 27th. The average overnight low temperature was 31-degrees. The coolest overnight low was 20 degrees on April 29th. The warmest overnight low was 47 degrees on the 15th.
