Ogema Man Sentenced to Prison for Fleeing

DETROIT LAKES, MN--An Ogema man must serve 17 months in prison after his arrest in October for fleeing police. Sentenced in Becker County Court Monday, 35-year-old Lyman Lowry was arrested in October 11th after leading law enforcement on a chase with speeds reaching up to 90 mph on County Highways 21 to 34 between Callaway and White Earth. Lowry's license had been cancelled and he was high from sniffing butane, and drugs were also found in the pickup he was driving, according to court records.
