The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s is investigating a case involving stolen tractor parts. On January 27th, the Sheriff’s Office took a report of a burglary from a farmstead near Perham. It was reported that a large amount of racing and tractor pulling engine parts along with tools and frozen food from a freezer.

Later, on March 5th, the victim reported that tractor parts matching exactly what was stolen in January were being offered for sale by a person in the city of Fergus Falls on a tractor pulling Facebook group. The Sheriff’s Office located an address for the person selling the items, and subsequently searched a residence on East Gustavus Avenue the following day. All the tractor engine parts, valued at approximately $18,000 , and some of the frozen food, valued at around $1000, was recovered and returned to the owner.

The suspect was not located at the time the search warrant was executed and the investigation is on-going.
