FARGO (KDLM) - Two Fargo children, a one-year-old and a nine-year-old, were killed in crash on I-29 in Grand Forks County Sunday morning.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a SUV was northbound in the right lane of the interstate when the driver attempted to move into the left lane. The driver, however, lost control on the snow, ice, and slush covered road. The SUV started to spin.
The driver of a semi, that was also northbound and behind the SUV, attempted to avoid the crash by braking and steering left but the SUV spun in front of the semi. The semi struck the passenger side of the SUV.
A YouCaring fundraising campaign has raised over $21,000 Monday to help cover funeral and medical expenses. The campaign identifies Trista Curry of Fargo and her children, Camden, Maxwell and Avalon, as those involved in the crash.
The organizers of the YouCaring campaign said Camden and Maxwell died in the crash, while Avalon survived.
