PARKERS PRAIRIE, MN (KFGO) - A west-central Minnesota city is getting out of the booze business.
Parkers Prairie has put its municipal liquor store and bar up for sale. City Clerk Beth Wussow says the decision follows years of financial losses. Figures from the state auditor's office show Parkers Prairie Liquor lost $90,000 in 2016.
The building and business assets are listed at $499,000.
Wussow says the council will consider reasonable offers at its May 21 meeting.
