Rural Borup man accused of using camera to secretly watch a child

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KFGO) - Clay County prosecutors say a rural Borup, Minn. man used a camera to secretly watch a child taking a shower inside his home.
Thirty-five-year-old Daniel Ward is charged with three felony counts of interfering with the privacy of a minor. Court documents say Ward's wife contacted the sheriff's office after she confronted him and found computer photos of the child, naked from the waist down.
Investigators inspected the basement and found a stepstool near a crawl space underneath the bathroom.The complaint says Ward admitted to investigators that he used a tiny "scope" camera to spy on the girl two times earlier this month.
If convicted, Ward faces up to six years in prison and a $15,000 fine.
