A fire that was intentionally started with a small shed, prompted a call to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office around 7:30 Tuesday evening to a residence just southwest of Sebeka.
The Sheriff’s Office says the resident had been burning a 50 by 20 foot small shed when the fire got out of control.
The resident told responding law enforcement that the shed was not insured and did not have a high value.
No citations were issued in the fire, but the Sheriff’s Office reminds all county residents that if they are burning anything other than a recreational fire that they need to obtain a burn permit.
Along with the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, the Minnesota State Patrol, Bluffton Fire Department, and New York Mills Police also responded to the scene.
