James Worner has served as a Trustee since May, 1988. He says serving on the Quality Committee was one of the most rewarding parts of his time on the Board. Worner says, “I truly enjoy the opportunity to serve an organization with such a high commitment to quality, patient-centered care and where there is such a strong sense of community.”
Solveig Halbakken was appointed to the board in 1985. She also served as Treasurer in 1988. Vice President from 1989 to 1992, President from 1993 to 1995, and Vice Chair/Secretary from 2004 to 2017. She says, “I have appreciated the opportunity to be a voice of the community on this board. Each board member brings unique talents and background, but we all have a common vision to help ensure the best possible health care services are available to our neighbors.”
Larry Dorn has been a Trustee since 1976. He also served as Treasurer from 1982 to 1993, Vice President in 1984, President from 1985 to 1988, and Vice President again from 1996 to 1999. Dorn says, “We are a community hospital. We have been here for 100 years and I know the board will continue to work diligently to set the course for continuing to serve the healthcare needs of the people long into the future. I have been blessed to be a part of it.” Dorn will continue to serve on the Lake Region Healthcare Foundation Board.
