(KNSI) - A 37 year old Long Prairie man is in jail after allegedly throwing methamphetamine out of a car window during a traffic stop.
According to a press release from the Morrison County Sheriff's Office, Jason Bailey and his passenger, 36 year old Robert Devereaux of Swanville were heading north on Highway 10 near Little Falls around 9:00 Wednesday night, when a deputy tried to pull them over.
The release says the reason for the stop was the car's owner had a canceled driver's license.
Before the car was stopped, the sheriff's office says the deputy noticed items were being thrown out of the windows. The items later turned out to be suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Officers searched the car and found 10.5 grams of meth inside.
The two are being held in the Morrison County Jail pending formal charges.
