CROOKSTON (KBRF) - The University of Minnesota Crookston’s aviation program has suspended new admissions, and officials say the program will likely be discontinued in the coming year.
UMC vice chancellor John Hoffman says the program has had a “great partnership” with UND Aerospace, but he says equipment costs and changing FAA regulations are prime reasons for the move. Hoffman says the remaining 11 students in the program will be taken care of.
The school says about 150 alums have come through UMC’s aviation program, which offered emphasis in agriculture, law enforcement and natural resources.
