MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota Vikings will be hiring John DeFilippo as their next offensive coordinator, according to a report from Adam Schefter of ESPN.

DeFilippo, 39, will be joining the Vikings after serving two years as the quarterbacks coach for the Philadelphia Eagles. DeFilippo will be filling the offensive coordinator spot left vacant by Pat Shurmur, who was named head coach of the New York Giants on January 22.

DeFilippo has also had stints as the offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns (2015), quarterbacks coach for the Oakland Raiders (2007-2008, 2012-2014), quarterbacks coach for the New York Jets (2009), and offensive quality control coach for the New York Giants (2005-2006).
