GRAND FORKS (NWS) - The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory beginning at 6pm this evening to 12pm Tuesday, Feb. 20.

Snow and blowing snow are expected including accumulations of 2 to 5 inches. The National Weather service expects the highest snow amounts across the Tri-State region into Fergus Falls and Park Rapids Corridor where 6 inches is possible.

Plan on slippery road conditions, including during the morning commute on Tuesday. In addition, some reductions to visibility are likely. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph will cause patchy blowing and drifting snow.

The cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
