Woman admits to shooting two dogs near Wadena

WADENA (KBRF) - Charges are being considered against a rural Wadena woman living in Otter Tail County for shooting two dogs.
According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, a person called dispatch to report that he and his girlfriend had been camping and returned home to find two of their puppies had been shot while tied up.
The girlfriend’s family allegedly admitted to shooting the dogs. A woman told authorities the dogs were chasing deer, even though they were tied up when she shot them.
One dog was found alive but had to be put down. The case has been sent to the Otter Tail County Attorney’s Office for possible charges of cruelty to animals.
