Election 2018: City of Detroit Lakes Referendum for 1/2% Sales Tax to Build New Police Facility

Voters in the City of Detroit Lakes will see a referendum question to give the city their approval to move ahead with adoption of a 1/2 % sales tax to finance the building of a new Police Department facility for $6.7 million. Detroit Lakes Mayor Matt Brenk, Vice Mayor Ron Zeman and City Administrator Kelcey Klemm spoke about the referendum on Hodge Podge October 18th.
