Detroit Lakes advances two individuals to the next round of the Section 8A Boys Tennis Playoffs

The Section 8A boys’ tennis playoffs continued yesterday from Detroit Lakes. The Thief River Falls Prowlers were able to punch their ticket to the state tournament. The Prowlers were able to beat Perham 6-1 in Section 8A championship.
During the individual portion of the tournament, Detroit Lakes had 3 of 4 guys make it to the second round, this was the first time that had happened in 4 years. In doubles, the Lakers had one group advance to the next round of the tournament as Gabe Hanninen, and Trey Seebold picked up wins yesterday beating Perham to advance to the next round. The semifinals will be on Thursday and Hanninen, and Seebold will take on Tucker Skime and Noah Rupprecht from Thief River Falls.
