The Laker baseball team was able to pick up their first win of the season last night against Pequot Lakes. The Lakers defeated the Patriots 3-1 in game one of the double-header. Laker Junior Cooper Hermanson pitched 6 innings of one-run ball and picked up 6 K's in the win. Sophomore Zack Oistad picked up the save.

In game 2 the Patriots answered back with a win defeating the Lakers 10-4. Detroit Lakes committed 4 errors in game 2 and surrendered 5 hits. DL Junior Blake Itzen was charged with the loss in game 2 and Patriots pitcher Cam Anderson earned the win.

The Lakers now have a record of 1-3 overall. Next up, they will play at home Friday, against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton.
