The Detroit Lakes Track teams’ competed in Rocori, on Tuesday. The Lakers had 10 first places finishes at the meet.
Detroit Lakes had 3 first place finishes in the girl's competition with Sophomore Gabby Fredrickson finishing 1st in High jump, Senior Breanna price finishing first in the Discus Throw, and a 1st place finish by the Girls 4x400 Meter Relay team.
On the boys side the Lakers had first-place finishes by Senior Jake Bettcher in the Triple Jump, Junior Caleb Tangen in the Discus Throw, Senior Reed Reller in the 400 Meter Dash, Senior Tanner Olson in the 1600 Meter Run, and Junior Isaiah Thompson in the 110 Meter Hurdles. The boys also had two 1st place finishes, in the 4x400 meter relay, and the 4x200 meter relay.
The Lakers finished in 4th place in the girl's division and in 2nd place in the boy's division. Next up, the Lakers have a 9th and 10th-grade event in Park Rapids on April 23rd.

The Laker baseball team will look to bounce back today when they travel to Moorhead to take on the Spuds. Detroit Lakes fell to Staples-Motley in their first game of the year on Tuesday falling 10-3. The Junior Varsity team will take the field first at 2pm with the Varsity to follow. The games will be played at Concordia College Moorhead.
The Laker girls’ golf team will be on the road today to take part in an invite in Becker at Pebble Creek Golf Club. The defending state champs will begin the meet today at 11 am. This will be the first time they will be on the course this season.

The Laker tennis team will take part in a triangular today.
The meet will be held at Alexandria High School. Detroit Lakes fell earlier
this week to Thief River Falls 6-1. The triangular today will include Alexandria,
Willmar, and Detroit Lakes.
