Authorities Investigating Crash That Killed Three Year Old Boy Near Frazee

The Becker County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the 3 -year-old boy who died in an accident just outside of Frazee Saturday afternoon.
Hank Lee Engel of Frazee was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency responders performed life saving measures.
There was no new information on the four other occupants who were transported with unknown injuries. Two were taken by ambulance to Essentia- St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes, and two were airlifted to a Fargo Hospital.
Becker County authorities are investigating a crash that killed a 3-year-old boy and hospitalized four others in Becker County on Saturday afternoon.
The two-vehicle collision happened around 4:08 p.m. when a 2001 Ford pickup and a 2004 Dodge SUV collided on County Road 151 near 440th Ave. in Evergreen Township, about 20 miles east of Detroit Lakes.
According to the Becker County Sheriff's Office, the driver of the pickup, 34-year-old Kristopher Lee Engle of Frazee, was traveling east on County Road 151 and collided with the Dodge, driven by 29-year-old Chad Raymond Bladow of Lake Park.
A 3-year-old, who was one of four passengers in the pickup, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and three other passengers were taken to area hospitals with unknown injuries, according to a press release. The identity of the 3-year-old boy has not been released and the crash remains under investigation.
