Body Pulled From Mississippi River In St. Cloud Identified

(St. Cloud, MN) -- The body of a kayaker pulled from the Mississippi River in St. Cloud on June 5th has been identified as 38-year-old Touy Souvannaphong. Souvannaphong was a resident of St. Cloud, and the Stearns County Sheriff's Office says his body had been submerged in the water for some time. The Midwest Medical Examiner's office was able to obtain fingerprints that helped the FBI identify the man. There's currently no information about his cause of death as deputies say it's still under investigation. They say a small campsite was found near where the body was pulled from the water, but it's unknown if the site is linked to the discovery.
