FERGUS FALLS (KBRF) - It’s a scenario we don’t want to even fathom happening in Fergus Falls, but in light of recent events in Florida, it needs to be planned for, in the case of an active shooter, whether inside or outside of school buildings.
"We work very hard at securing our building - we have training called 'Run, Hide, Fight' so if there is something happening in the student body we want to make sure the students feel comfortable talking to the principle or teacher" says Superintendent Jerry Ness.
Superintendent Ness along with Chief of Public Safety, Kile Bergren discussed plans and procedures at Monday night’s school board meeting that are in place in the event of a shooting or other emergency event.
