Four Hunters Rescued after Boat Capsizes

BRAINERD, MN—Four duck hunters were rescued Saturday morning after their boat capsized on a lake near Brainerd. The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office reported the four men, all in their 20's from central Minnesota cities, were on North Long Lake near Brainerd when their boat capsized around 10:00 AM. The Sheriff's Office says they all were wearing floatation devices, and along with their dog, were able to make it to shore where one occupant called 9-1-1. The men had signs of hypothermia from being exposed to cold water and cold air temperatures. All four were taken to the hospital via North Memorial Ambulance.The sheriff’s office said the boat began to take on water due to high winds before it capsized.
