Friday COVID Update

(Undated) -- Minnesota tops its single-day record for coronavirus deaths Friday. The state department of health announced 33 new deaths and 813 new lab-confirmed cases. The total case county now has just surpassed 19-thousand (19,005) and eight-hundred-forty-two (842)deaths. The department of health says 534 people are in Minnesota hospitals and 233 people are in intensive care units. As of Friday, the MDH has completed 180,971 tests for COVID-19.
Twelve-thousand-696 of those testing positive are no longer in isolation.
LOCAL COVID COUNTS (May 22nd)
Todd County--24 new cases Friday, pushing their total postive case number to 140; Clay County reports 10 new cases for at total of 356 and a total of 22 deaths with no new deaths reported Friday. Becker County has 33 positive cases; In Otter Tail County remains at 52 positive test-cases; Wadena County has 6 positive test cases; Mahnomen County remains at five postive cases and one death.
North Dakota Friday COVID-UPDATE
North Dakota reports one new COVID-related death and 90 new cases of coronavirus. Fifty-two North Dakota residents have died due to COVID-19 and there are now 2317 postive cases across the state.
Cass County reported 72 new cases Friday pushing the total case county over 1400 to 1442.
