Icy Roads Cause Accidents on Area Highways Monday

UNDATED--A couple of icy road accidents kept local law enforcement busy Monday morning.
A Perham couple's vehicle ended up in the ditch off Highway 10 and they were transported to the hospital Monday morning. The State Patrol says a GMC Envoy was westbound on Highway 10 around 7:45am and the vehicle was attempting to merge from left to right lane. The Patrol says the road condition was icy and the vehicle lost control and ended in the north ditch. The driver, 78 year old William Bucholz and his passenger, 77 year old Sherill Bucholz, were transported to St. Mary's in Detroit Lakes with non life-threatening injuries.
Menahga Woman Injured in One Vehicle Accident Off Highway 87
About five minutes earlier (7:40am) Monday morning the State Patrol was called to a one vehicle accident on Highway 87 near Frazee. The Patrol says a Honda CRV was westbound on Hwy 87 when it lost control on a curve by mile post 5, slid into ditch where the vehicle flipped on its side, landing on the driver side on a driveway entrance. The driver, 45 year old Annette Aschnewitz of Menahga was wearing her seatbelt and was taken to the Detroit Lakes Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
