DETROIT LAKES, MN--One day over 90-degrees for June in Detroit Lakes and over three inches of rain recorded, a couple of weather stats recorded by Leighton Broadcasting for the sixth month of 2019. The average daily high temp was 75-degrees. The coolest average for June in compared to the last three years. 78-degrees in June 2018; 76-degrees in June 2017; and 77-degrees in June 2016. The warmest high was on June 7th when we reached 92-degrees, the only 90-degree day in June. The coolest daytime high was 61 degrees on June 18th. The average overnight low was 55 degrees. The coolest overnight low was 41 degrees on June 12th and the warmest overnight low was 62 on June 7th. Fifteen of the 30 days of June we recorded rain. The most rainfall was 55-hundredths of an inch on June 28th. The rain total was 3.37-inches for June. The total precipitation for 2019 through June is 10.95-inches.
