DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) - Detroit Lakes High School sports teams will be very active during their first week of classes.

Boys Soccer
The Lakers will look to snap their 3 game losing streak tonight, as they take on the Crookston Pirates at the Rotary Soccer Park at 5pm. DL is looking to bounce back after suffering a loss last Thursday to Little Falls 3-1. The Lakers are 1-3 on the season.

Girls Soccer
The Laker Girls Soccer to team is looking to bounce back after their first loss of the season to Bemidji last Thursday. The Lakers fell to the Lumberjacks 2-0 and are now 2-1 on the season. Tonight they will square off with Hillcrest Lutheran Academy. The match will get underway at 7pm at the Rotary Soccer Park.

Swim Team
The Laker Swim team will have their first official meet of the season tonight at the Detroit Lakes Community and Cultural Center. Last week DL hosted a pentathlon where they took the top honors. The Lakers will be hosting Thief River Falls tonight with the meet scheduled for 5:30pm.

The Laker Volleyball team will take on Perham tonight at the brand new Perham High School Gymnasium. The Lakers split their two games last week beating Dilworth Glyndon Felton on Tuesday and falling to Bemidji on Thursday. The Lakers are 1-1 on the year. Tonight’s match vs. Perham begins at 7:30pm, you can hear the game on our sister station Lakes 99.5.
