After a long delay to start the game, due to some inclement weather in the area, the Lakers wasted no time getting going Friday night. Isiah Thompson rushed 14 times for 275 yards scoring four times and throwing for a score. He also moved into second on the Detroit Lakes all-time rushing leader board. It is homecoming week for the Lakers and the Lakers host East Grand forks Friday night.
Lakers took on Fergus Falls Saturday looking for their 3rd win of the season. Goals by Kobe Braukmann and Alec Kulasingham paced the way as the Lakers won 2-1 over the Otters. With the win the Lakers are now 3-7.
The Lakers were able to snap their 3 game skid by downing the Fergus Falls Otters Saturday 3-0. Lakers are now 3-6-1 on the season. Lakers will look for win number 4 on Monday when they host Walker-Hackensack-Ackely.
SWIMMING AND DIVING:
Saturday the Girl’s swimming and diving team went across the border to West Fargo for a border battle. The Lakers Swimming and Diving finish 2nd out of 15 teams at the West Fargo Border Battle. Minnesota won the battle with 1399 points to North Dakota’s 912.
