Man Killed By Train In Fargo Thursday Night

FARGO, ND--A man was struck and killed by a train in downtown Fargo last night. Police were called shortly before 11 to an area near Sixth Avenue North and Roberts Street where they found a man with "significant trauma" who was dead. Sgt. Troy Hannig says at this point, they have not found any witnesses. It happened on a stretch of tracks where there were no marked crossings. The victim's name has not been released pending notification of relatives. The investigation into the death is on-going. The incident blocked several downtown rail crossings for several hours. It's the second fatal pedestrian accident involving a train in the downtown area within the past month.
