MDH Reports 500 New COVID-19 Cases on Thursday

Numbers released Wednesday by the Minnesota Department of Health indicate 500 new COVID-19 cases bringing Minnesota’s Cumulative total to 37,210 positive cases of the Coronavirus in the state, out of 630,427 tests conducted. 3,706 are health care workers.
Of the 37,210 positive cases, 32,163 patients no longer need to be isolated.
4,112 cases have required hospitalization so far, and 274 of them are still hospitalized. 123 of the current hospitalized are in the ICU.
The Minnesota Department of Health reports 1,458 people have now died due to COVID-19 related complications.
Wilkin County has 20 cases, Otter Tail has 92 cases. Becker County has 55 cases. Douglas County has 61 cases. Grant County has 10 cases and Clay has 580 cases.
In North Dakota, Cass County has 2,277 cases, Richland County has 41 cases.
There are 3,657 total cases in North Dakota.
The Minnesota Department of Health reminds the public that not all cases of COVID-19 are being tested. So these numbers do not represent the total number of people in Minnesota that have or had COVID-19. These numbers represent the number of cases that were tested.
