DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) - Monday is the last day to apply for the City of Detroit Lakes CARES Act Grant for Small businesses.
The City of Detroit Lakes will provide grants of up to $10,000 for eligible businesses with 25 full time equivalent or fewer employees located within the City limits.
Ron Zeman, Detroit Lakes Vice Mayor encourages all small businesses in Detroit Lakes to apply, "Don't be bashful come pick up an application, get if filled out and bring it on in."
The City is funding this program from the Coronavirus Relief Fund established by the federal CARES Act. This program takes a broader look at the economic impact of COVID-19 in order to provide financial assistance to small businesses in need of support. Businesses that have received PPP or EIDL funds may still be eligible for this grant.
Priority will be given to businesses directly impacted by the Governor’s Executive Orders. The application and more information are available on the City’s website at www.cityofdetroitlakes.com
Applications will be accepted until 8:00 a.m. on October 19, 2020. If you have any additional questions, please call 218-847-5658.
