(Bismarck, ND) -- Dozens of people are paying a price for disobeying the recent no-travel advisories. North Dakota Highway Patrol says 55 drivers were given fines of 250-dollars for going around road closure gates. Altogether, 60 drivers found themselves stuck in the blizzard and had to rely on emergency crews to be rescued. Most of them were on unplowed back roads. A spokesman for NDHP called the violators selfish, saying they chose to put their needs above everyone else.
