WASHINGTON, D.C.--Minnesota Congressman Collin Peterson is sponsoring a bill that would allow hemp-based C-B-D to be marketed in dietary supplements. His measure would also require a U-S-D-A study on the regulatory and market barriers for farmers engaged in hemp production.
The House Agriculture Committee chairman said it will allow the F-D-A to regulate C-B-D as a dietary supplement, providing a pathway forward for hemp-derived products.
There are some gray areas related to C-B-D products after hemp was legalized under the 2018 Farm Bill.
