FARGO (KFGO/KDLM) - State Senator, Kent Eken says he disagrees with Governor Walz on his latest shutdown order. Senator Eken, a Democrat who represents District 4, which includes portions of Becker, Clay, and Norman counties says there should be more of a regional approach when it comes to border cities. "If we have such different approaches just across the river then we're not going to achieve the health benefits we're seeking, because if we're closing down bars and restaurants in Moorhead, Dilworth etc., but they're open in Fargo - people are just going to go across the river."
Eken says he also believes that the Legislature should have more input on the business closing decisions. Bars, restaurants, fitness centers, bowling alleys and theatres are among the businesses facing a month-long shutdown.
