Three injured in two separate weekend accidents in Otter Tail and Becker Counties

UNDATED--An elderly Clitheral man was seriously injured Saturday morning in a collision with a semi on Highway 210 in Otter Tail County.
According to the State Patrol, just before 6:00 am Saturday a van was traveling North on Otter Tail County Road 40, in Nidaros Township, attempted to make a left turn onto Highway 210 and was struck by a semi traveling eastbound on Highway 210. The van driver, 78 year old Isadore Andrew Mallak, of Clitherall was taken to North Memorial in the Twin Cities with critical injuries. The semi driver from Marion, ND was not injured.
Two Injured in two-vehicle collision on HWY 59 So of Detroit Lakes Saturday evening
DETROIT LAKES, MN--Two drivers from Detroit Lakes were transported from a two vehicle accident on Highway 59 south of Detroit Lakes Saturday evening. The State Patrol says the accident happened just after 6:00 pm when a Taurus stopped at a stop sign on South Melissa Drive attempted to cross the highway to 110th St. and a Ford Focus traveling north on Highway 59 collided with it. The driver of the Taurus, 19 year old Bryson Block and the driver of the Focus, 23 year old Maty Monson, were transported by EMS to Essentia St. Mary's in Detroit Lakes with non life-threatening injuries. There were no other passengers in either vehicle.
Also assisting at the scene was the Becker County Sheriff's Office.
