Thursday's COVID-19 State Updates

UNDATED--Thursday's COVID-19 update from the Minnesota Department of Health shows the highest daily death toll yet with 35 newly reported deaths across the state--27 of them in long-term care facilities; six from private residence and two in a group home/behavioral health setting. There were 493 newly reported positive test cases Thursday out of 8,776 tests conducted for the day, moving the total number of positive cases in Minnesota closer to 23-thousand (22,947) and the total number of COVID-related deaths to 967.
Thursday's hospitalizations are at 606 people across the state with 242 in ICU's.
Minnesota has now completed 225-thousand-208 tests.
Local case counts for Thursday:
Clay County reported 10 new positive cases and no new deaths for a total positive case county of 416 and 25 deaths. Otter Tail County reports one new case and a total of 63 positive cases. No new cases in Todd County who has a total count of 296 cases. Also no new cases in Becker County at 36 cases; Wadena County at eight; Mahnomen County with one COVID-related death and five positive cases.
North Dakota Thursday update:
North Dakota reports one new COVID-related death and 42 new positive cases as of Thursday out of 1,978 tests conducted. The ND Department of Health shows 36 of the 42 new test cases were in Cass County that now has a total of 1632 case. The state of North Dakota is now at 2481 total positive tests out of 68-thousand-254 tests conducted.
